Information Available for LPD on Private Lands

Many farmers utilized livestock protection dogs (LPD) to guard their sheep from predators. As the U.S. population grows and continues to spur development throughout the country, many farms are now surrounded by houses and subdivisions, and once-quiet country roads are being enjoyed by bikers, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. These changes have created new challenges for today's sheep farmers. 
Resources are now available for use by farmers who use guard dogs on private lands. A brochure and a poster can be uploaded to help neighbors understand the purpose of LPD and how to react when near a flock of sheep that is being protected by one.
