International World of Wool Comes to NYC
April 27, 2012
Annually, the International Wool Textile Organization (IWTO) coordinates a global congress, which allows various forums for networking and education for those associated with the international wool industry, from wool growers to spinners, weavers, manufacturers and beyond. This year, the IWTO Congress is being jointly organized by IWTO and the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) and will be held in New York City from May 7-9.
The theme for this year's congress is Wool in the City as there could be no place better than New York, which brings wool and retail together.
"This is the key annual meeting for the world's wool industry from the U.S. to Europe, Asia, India and many more regions. We are pleased to host the meeting, which gives our domestic and international customers an opportunity to learn more about the U.S. wool industry," said Rita Kourlis Samuelson, director of wool marketing for ASI. "Attendees are able to meet with wool-business leaders and participate in important decisions that influence the entire wool industry."
