Special Items Featured at Convention Auction
A sheep-themed bracelet designed and created by retired U.S. Senator and renowned artist Ben Nighthorse Campbell and a commemorative belt buckle commissioned by former Montana Wool Growers Executive Bob Gilbert are among the items to be auctioned during ASI’s Annual Convention in Reno, Nevada. The convention, which will celebrate ASI’s 150th anniversary, takes place Jan. 28-31 at the JA Nugget Resort.
The bracelet and buckle will be part of the RAMS PAC auction to benefit the Sheep Heritage Foundation. The auction will be held on Friday, Jan. 30.
Also, the ASI Women will be selling a pewter ornament to celebrate the 150th anniversary. A limited number of ornaments will be sold for $20, and will be available at Reno.
The ASI Convention will once again be a place for sheep-industry related organizations to meet and exchange ideas. Joining ASI in Reno this year are the National Lamb Feeders Association, the American Lamb Board, the National Sheep Industry Improvement Center, the National Sheep Improvement Program, the American Goat Federation, the Western Range Association, Sheep Venture Company and the National Livestock Producers Association Sheep and Goat Fund Committee, along with ASI Women and the Make It With Wool National Contestants.
