Fiorille Joins ASI Staff
The ASI national office staff in Denver welcomed another new addition at the start of 2017. Angela Fiorille signed on as assistant to the director and will spend the next few months in training as current assistant Mary Jensen prepares to retire later this year.
A teacher by trade, Fiorille spent the past year and a half as interim assistant director with the Ricks Center for Gifted Children, where she had previously worked as a first- and second-grade teacher. She’s also served as an affiliate faculty member at Regis University in Denver, facilitating online and ground-based courses for education-related programs.
Fiorille holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in health promotion and a master’s degree in elementary education, both from American University in Washington, D.C.
“We’d like to welcome Angela to the staff,” said ASI Executive Director Peter Orwick. “She has big shoes to fill with Mary’s impending departure, but we’re confident that she’s up to the task. Personally, I’m thankful to Mary for her willingness to defer retirement for a few months as Angela gets up to speed.”
