PLC Establishes Scholarship in Memory of Nick Theos
May 3, 2013
Nick Theos, a founding member of the Public Lands Council (PLC) and great supporter of the livestock industry, passed away on April 11 at the age of 92. Nick was a husband and father, a Colorado sheep rancher, a past president of PLC and a staunch defender of the industry.
The Theos family has requested that memorial donations be made to PLC; all such donations will go to the newly created Nick Theos PLC Scholarship Program.
The scholarship will enable young people to attend the annual PLC legislative conference in Washington, D.C. PLC has donated an initial $500 to the scholarship and has received additional donations from the Colorado Wool Growers Association, Colorado PLC, Elena and Zoie Theos, Megiel and Rome Inda and the Jean Brown Living Trust.
The Theos family has established an online location (www.grantmortuary.com/book-of-memories/1548769/Theos-Nick/index.php) where you can find Nick’s obituary, express your condolences or make a contribution.
