Lamb BBQ Big Hit

American lamb chops were at the center of the plate for the 2013 American Lamb Barbecue held in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday evening. Washington contacts and industry leaders dined on the flavorful American lamb loin chops prepared to perfection.
As tradition has it, Rick and Larry Meyers and Fran Boyd, of Meyers and Associates, took charge of the grills to prepare the lamb that was generously donated by JBS.
Among the 140 plus guests of the U.S. Senate and House offices and the administration were Sen. John Barrasso (Wyo.); Rep. Cynthia Lummis (Wyo.); Edward Avalos, undersecretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Marketing and Regulatory Services; John Clifford, DVM, deputy administrator, USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Veterinary Services; Bill Clay, deputy administrator for APHIS Wildlife Services (WS) and Martin Mendoza, associate deputy administrator for APHIS/WS.
