The dome of the Colorado state capitol is plated with real 24K gold. However, the real rarity of the Colorado state capitol is on the inside. The building’s interior has large amounts of Colorado Rose Onyx. The world’s entire known supply of the material was used on the building.
Early Registration Deadline – If you have not yet registered for the ASI Convention scheduled for Jan. 23-28 in Denver, now is the time to do so. Registrations received on or before Monday, Jan. 9, are eligible for the early registration rates. After Jan. 9, the rate increases. Go to www.cvent.com/d/kvqq9c to register online.
Tour Availability – There is still space available on most of the tours being offered during the ASI meeting. The only tour to reach capacity at this time is tour of the Yocom-McColl Testing Laboratory.
Sleeping Room Availability – The convention hotel – Denver Marriott City Center – still has availability for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. If additional nights are required, the secondary hotel – Denver Renaissance City Center – does have space on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Since the convention rate at the Renaissance expired on Monday, Jan. 2, ASI reserved extra sleeping rooms that can be made available to those needing a reservation.
