ASI Wants Your Sheep Videos
March 17, 2017
The American Sheep Industry Association wants your sheep videos!
ASI has teamed up with Russell Nemetz of Nemetz Communications, Inc., to produce video features that showcase the U.S. sheep industry and the hard working men and women who make the industry what it is today.
We would like to build a sheep-video library from operations across the country to highlight these features. It is really easy and the best part is that you don’t need an expensive video camera; you can do everything on your smartphone or other smart device.
All you need to do is check your camera setting. Set the video size to Full HD (FHD) and the picture size to at least 16:9 (2560×1440). You’re ready to record.
A couple of other tips to consider when shooting video include:
- Be as steady as possible.
- Record your subject at different distances. Do some recording where you are close to your subject, intermediate and then some that are further away; but don’t get too far away that the audience isn’t able to see what you’re recording.
- When recording, try to avoid talking so the natural sounds of the sheep, gates closing, etc. can be heard on the video.
- Keep each recording between 30 to 60 seconds long.
These video files will be too large to email so ASI will create a Drobox folder to upload videos. For video upload instructions, contact Judy Malone at ASI at 303-771-3500 ext. 104 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
